The van is now ready for towing!

Yay!  We just got a new hitch installed on the van, so now we can use the van to tow the camper instead of the FJ.  We love the FJ, and it's a great truck, but for this trip the van will definitely be the better choice.  More storage capacity, more people room, and better mileage.  Here's Ray, surveying the work.

  1. Today, I sent Ray a link to a site that calculates the towing capacity of any trailed vehicle, taking into consideration the number of passengers, all the goodies stored aboard, hitchhikers excluded.... hope that helps to decide how many pairs of shoes to take, and how many pots and pans.

I am so proud of Ray, who retired this past Thursday, after 18 years on the "JOG." at FedEx, and hearing all the stories about his retirement party last Thursday, with employees coming from some of the other stations to pay tribute to him. Congratulations, Ray... we all love you so much.
