It's been a wild ride weather wise for the last few days. I know we needed rain and we sure got it!
Today was a nice sunny day and things dried out a bit.
I took the camper to the self service car wash and gave it a nice wash. While I was washing it I noticed a crack in the top of the plastic AC cover. When I got home Jen made a trip out to Lowe's and got some epoxy. We teamed up and repaired the crack together. We also put some weather stripping along the front part of the camper between the camper top & bottom. We are road ready now.
Laundry, packing and food shopping will cover the next couple of days.
I plan on popping the camper up tomorrow and cleaning & organizing the inside (rain or shine). It's always exciting to complete this task prior to a long trip.
I can feel the excitement mounting... I can also feel the frustration of maybe not having enough time to get it all done. Just remember, this is supposed to be FUN, so relax a bit, take your time, and go with the flow. Monday afternoon, I will be there to collect your plants, your fish, and your Wiggle Wart Baxter. We'll be holding down the fort, and missing you like crazy.
ReplyDeleteBeing a Mom is not easy... for the firSt time in my many years of being a mother, I am watching my youngest daughther and her family go off into the wild blue yonder. I know, they told me, and it is true, they are seasoned travelers. But, SIX WEEKS ??? That just blows my mind. And I know, I am beind selfish by saying that I will miss you guys, more than you can imagine, but I also would not want to deny you the chance to see the country, to go on such an exciting adventure, to see new things, to experience new events, and to become one who can claim to be a continental traveler. Happy Trails to you, all of you, come home safe, and know that we are with you, every step of the way. And Baxter says WOOF!
