We all had a wonderful first day at Barb's house.
First I did a blog while having my coffee on the back porch overlooking the lake...
I made a trip to Walmart for an oil change on the van and also washed it. Eric and I both got haircuts too.
Barb has some beautiful flowers in her yard...
In the afternoon I took Eric and his cousin Logan down to the lake for some fishing and swimming...
In the evening we had a fantastic dinner of chicken and steak cooked on the grill. The grillmaster was my nephew Travis (Barb's son and Logan's Dad). Travis' wife Becky and Logan's little brother Tucker also were there. What a great family time!
Off to bed early again. Eric and Logan want to get up at 4:30am and go fishing again :-)
The greatest adventure of your lives has come to a new level... you have the rest of the journey to return to Tampa, but that is known territory, and your stay at Helen, Ga, will be similar to being at your home away from home.
ReplyDeleteI know that this New York visit will be bittersweet in that it is the first since your dear Mom/Eleanor passed away, but her spirit was strong and it will hover all of you as your family unites once again to honor the traditions that are so unique to families.
